Hens nights, hens parties, bridal showers, bachelorette parties - just some of the names used to describe pre wedding celebrations between the bride-to-be and her besties.
Usually hosted in the evening 2 or 3 weeks before the wedding day, these days it's not uncommon for a Hens Party to run for a full day with any number of guests attending all or just some of the planned events, depending on their suitability. (Booking a stripper at lunch time when Granny is there may not be the best idea, and better saved until after she has gone home!)
Hens Parties are often hosted in public venues, these may include dinner in a restaurant followed by a pub-crawl or a big night hitting the clubs. That said though, if the bride-to-be just prefer to put the feet up, pour a glass of her favourite relaxing red and stay where it's warm and comfortable then that’s ok too, it's her night.
